The Long Haul Pack

Your Road to Getting a Licence

Pass the computer-based theory test, complete an eyesight test, choose a logbook (paper or app), and pay your application fee to start learning to drive.

Once you’ve got your permit, it’s time to hit the road—with a qualified instructor or supervisor. If you're under 25, you'll need to log 50 hours (including 5 at night).

Six months in, and if you’re at least 16½, you can sit your HPT—a computer-based test that checks how well you respond to potential hazards while driving.

The more practice, the better. Get comfortable driving in all kinds of conditions—day, night, rain, highways, roundabouts, you name it.

Once you're confident and have completed your hours, book your PDA. This is your on-road driving test to show you're ready to drive solo.

Pass your PDA and you’re officially on your way! You'll drive with P plates and follow a few restrictions for your first two years—but you’ll be in the driver’s seat on your own.

In WA, you need to have your learner’s permit before you can get behind the wheel. That means passing your theory test and having your permit issued first.

Yes! Our Test Day Package includes a warm-up lesson and the use of our dual-controlled vehicle for your assessment.

Yes! we offer free pick-up and drop-off within Bunbury and surrounding suburbs. We can even pick you up from work or drop you off to school. Just let us know your preferred location/s when booking.

They sure do! Every lesson with a licensed instructor contributes to your required 50 hours (if you're under 25).

Life happens—we get it! We just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the spot to someone else.

Absolutely. Lessons are conducted in our Kia Picanto, automatic car fitted with dual controls. The vehicle is fully insured, serviced regularly, and undergoes annual safety inspections to ensure it’s always in top condition for teaching.
